For vinyl die-hards, it’s a dream come true. American developer Amanda Ghassaei has invented a program to convert MP3 audio files into 3D-printing files for Objet500 Connex. While the encoding frequency is very low and the sound quality is a far cry from that of classic vinyl, the concept works like a charm in this beta version, which can only get better—even if you need to listen hard to recognize Nirvana. To both labels and fans of Record Store Day, stay tuned.
